What is 24-Hour Care?

24-hour care, also known as round-the-clock care or fulltime care, provides you with continuous support, supervision and assistance with your daily activities. This type of care is typically provided by a team of care staff who work in shifts to ensure that someone is always available to attend to your needs, including during the day, evening, and overnight hours.

Who needs it?

If you are a senior who is frail, may have Dementia,  Parkinson’s disease, or other age-related illnesses, you require round-the-clock care to assist you with your daily activities such as medication management, meal management, personal care and domestic chores.

If you have a physical or developmental disability, you need continuous care and support with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and managing your medications.

If you underwent major surgery, you will require 24-hour care during their recovery period to monitor your vital signs, administer your medications, and provide assistance with your rehabilitation exercises.

If you have a chronic condition such as Multiple Sclerosis, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), or cancer you will require constant care to manage your symptoms, administer treatments, and ensure your safety.

If you suffer from complex medical conditions, such as those requiring ventilator support, tube feeding, or specialized medical equipment, you will need continuous care from trained healthcare professionals at home.

If you are receiving palliative or hospice care at home you will require 24-hour support to manage your pain, provide you comfort, ensure your dignity and offer you emotional support during the end stages of your terminal illness.

If you suffer from a mental health condition, 24-hour care is important to ensure your safety from self-harm. Our empathetic care staff will help you manage your stressors, motivate you to achieve your goals and encourage you to stay connected with your community.
